iPhone 5. A worthy upgrade?
So you’ve had your iPhone for a year or two now but is it really time for an upgrade to the iPhone 5?
If you have a 4s the answer is No. There’s nothing the iPhone 5 can do that your iPhone 4s can’t do. The only real difference is the screen and a little bit of the hardware. Unless you really need 4G LTE speed there’s no reason at all to upgrade.
If you have an iPhone 4 its probably getting a bit slow by now. You’re jealous of your friends photos that they take with the iPhone 4S and you really could use a power boost to run some of the newer apps.
The iPhone 5 really isn’t that big of a deal maybe it’s just because we saw it here 5 months ago on shouldIgetit.com or maybe it’s just because the operating system is still the same as it has been for over a year and there’s nothing proprietary about the iPhone 5. Siri was a big reason that people upgraded from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 4 S there’s no siri like feature on the iPhone 5. Any cases that you have for your iPhone 4 or 4s won’t work. Your car charger, iPod dock, and charger you use for your iPad/iPod/iPhone won’t work either; not without Apple’s new $30.00 adapter at least. In my mind its an iPhone 4ss (yes I put two S’s) with LTE and a sleeker look.
Don’t get me wrong, the iPhone 5 is going to be a great device, but losing an unlimited data plan and buying new chargers might not be so worth it. Of course this is just what I think so far I still haven’t had the phone in my hands and I still haven’t seen it used so once I get it in this Friday I’ll update the post and let you know whether its worth the upgrade.
Make sure you watch the live stream this Friday September 21st at 6 p.m PST
The iPhone 5. Better Instagram for all.
Finally! The iPhone 5 is here and it’s camera got an upgrade.
The sensor is still 8 megapixels (3,264-by-2,448 pixels) but there’s new glass in it that gives a stellar F/2.4 aperture. The new A6 processor also lets you shoot better photos in low light and shoots photos 50% faster. You can also use the new Panoramic mode to capture stunning 28 megapixel photos (with your phone!)
iPhone 5 Boot Up
Supposedly this is the iPhone 5 coming out in a few weeks. It doesn’t look all that different other than maybe being 1mm thinner and having a longer body, repositioned headphone jack, and smaller dock connector.
I wouldn’t bet that this is the real thing.
September 12th 2012 iPhone 5
Apple has sent out invitations to an event happening in less than two weeks on September 12th. It’s a very simple invitation but check out the shadow of the 12, there’s our hint that iPhone 5 will be announced there.
